Smithtown Singer/Songwriter Julia Graye announced as a finalist for Got Talent? Long Island 2014


Smithtown, New York – May 2, 2014.  Local singer/songwriter Julia Graye, age 14 and a freshman at Smithtown East High School, was named as a finalist in the Huntington Arts Council Got Talent? Long Island Competition.


“I am very excited to have been selected as a finalist”, said Julia.  “This is an important competition for both Long Islander’s and the Huntington Arts Council and I am happy to be a part of it.“


About Julia Graye

Julia is a 14-year old singer/songwriter living in Long Island, NY.   Julia began piano lessons when she was 7 followed by guitar lessons at age 8, which really sparked her passion for singing and songwriting. She wrote her first song at age 10 and continues to write and perform both her originals and her favorite covers.  She has performed at several venues on Long Island and will be performing at The Bitter End in NYC and at the New York State Fair over the summer.


About The Got Talent? Long Island Competition

The Huntington Arts Council presents a talent competition for performers 18 years & under.  The competition is in its fifth successful year.  The finalists, selected by audition will compete at a performance on May31, 2014 at 7:30pm at the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center at Five Towns College, Dix Hills, NY.  The kickoff ceremony for finalists will be held on Thursday, May 15th, 2014.
